A great hotel. A huge, clean room. However, it was let down a little with only 5 TV channels, no towel rails (so had to hang wet towels on door handles), no hooks anywhere. No mirror near a shelf or table top (which meant I had to plug my curling tongs in and leave them on the floor next to the only mirror). It’s a shame as it could have been brilliant

Staff were more than helpful, very friendly , The room was smart, clean and it HAD A BATHTUB which was amazing! Only an extra £5 to add on the gym and pool pass , which we didn't end up using but it was a bargain .

Absolutely Fabulous all the staff went above and behind. Linsely in the cafe was extremely accommodating a definite 10/10 It was a stressful time my wife was in Hull hospital I’ used the gym and pool which was very clean and well maintained the staff again you could tell they loved there jobs. Staff a credit to the hotel. Room was spacious and very clean Highly recommended

Lunch in the bar. Had the jacket potato. These are absolutely amazing. Cooked fresh daily in house not prepped offsite and microwaved !!! The difference is night and day. Chose Beef Chilli and omitted butter and cheese to keep the calories down. When they are all made to order you can do that. Excellent service from a lady called Lindsey. She really went out of her way to explain the options and make sure we were happy. The menu has had an overhaul and it’s really really good. Recommended !!!

I stayed for two nights at the Village Hotel in Hull. It wasn’t quite what I expected, but I was pleasantly surprised. On arrival, it felt more like a gym with a hotel than the other way around. You enter via the gym reception, next to a Starbucks, so it doesn’t give off traditional hotel vibes. That said, my room was clean and comfortable, with a large TV and a lovely shower. I ate at the bar on the first night - pretty good food and a decent atmosphere, although the crowd leaned a bit heavy on “blokey contractors” who used swearing like punctuation. (We all swear, but out-of-context expletives make you sound thick.) After dinner, I got some work done and watched a bit of TV in the room. Breakfast was really good, but the coffee let it down - UHT milk made it undrinkable for me, so I grabbed a proper one from the on-site Starbucks. As made clear in Father Ted: “Milk gets sour, you know. Unless it’s UHT milk, but there’s no demand for that because it’s sh*te.” Internet connection was fantastic, though that’s no surprise - nowhere in the UK beats Hull for broadband. The pool was a nice bonus, clean and well-maintained, but it did get a bit busy. Overall, a good experience. I’d happily stay again, though I might skip dinner (not the beer) in the bar next time.

Highly disappointed the bedding was stained didn’t even have a duvet had to request one from reception and that had blood mark on. The bottom sheet on the bed was covered in yellow patches looks like sweat. No towels were in the room and no sockets near where they need to be noisy corridors and music till late
